#35 Problems retaining settings (v1.5.2.0)

when the config window is open the animation works the
way i've configured it. when the config window is closed it
reverts to defaults. i even took the original default.cfg out of
the program file and replaced it with a duplicate that was
created with my personal settings, but that didn't work. so...
how can i get the animation to keep working the way i want
it to _without_ having the config window open???
