#91 No screen saver when chosen in Display Settings (WinXP)

The ZMatrix screensaver works perfectly (grin-inducingly
so with AND blending on bitmap mode) from the "screen
save" option in the system tray menu, and when I
choose "preview" in the screensaver section of the
Display Settings, but if Windows attempts to launch the
screen saver by itself, all I get is a black screen. I can
leave this by wiggling the mouse or pressing keys- after
a few seconds' delay, I get my "insert password" screen-
but it's really starting to bug me.

I've only had this problem on XP, and switching to NT
Compatability Mode with the ZMatrix executable doesn't
help.
