#56 Color blending and start characters on main monitor

3 monitors, WinXP,Opaque Bitmap OR, it used to blend
the colors before in 1.4.8
Now since I did an upgrade or even full install, it doesn't
blend them anymore, it just uses the foreground color
and not the fade. The new special string colors is cool
but same thing when rendering the colors it only uses
the foreground color.

Also the main monitor geforce 4 AGP the very top
character is black and is normal all the way down,
sometimes it looks normal, but then it comes back.
Doesn't happen on the secondary monitors Matrox.

Keep up the great work.

That's a strange sounding problem. Could you include a
screenshot? That might help me better understand exactly
what is happening. Also, please try loading the default
configuration (configuration is NOT reset when you
re-install). You can load the default configuration by
using the File | Load Defaults menu item in the config dialog.

Also, could other multi-monitor users out there comment on
this? Is this type of thing happening to everyone out there
with a multi-mon setup? I did drag over an old monitor and
video card to test multi-mon on my system before this
release, and I didn't run into any problems.

    (Same guy who posted weird.png)

    I use a single-monitor set up. I have a GeForce 4 Card like
the first poster. I have done much to attempt to fix this.
Reloading defaults, changing fonts a LOT.

    Version 1.4.8 works perfectly.

It appears the first blocks start in the "default setting"
(Transparent with OR blending and 5 point Matrix Code Font).
Then they continue how it should look. Even if I set it to
15 point Verdana. The set color, however, stays how it
    should be set.

This also only seems to happen in Opaque mode. Transparent
    seems perfectly unaffected.

    Hey guys,

Yup, I managed to reproduce it. You're right, it's a bug
in the opaque mode only. It's a simple fix in the code
(something I shouldn't have missed in the first place).
I've checked the fix in to CVS. Rather than run out with
another release today (and piss off the sites I distribute
to for having so many releases so fast), I'll keep let this
float for a few days. I'll keep an eye out for other bugs
that shake out, and hopefully by sunday or monday I'll put
    together another release.

So if there's any other problems you guys notice, let me
know now. Also, I'd appreciate it if one of you guys could
test the fix I've made. I think it works 100%, but you
never know. If any of you have the time to try a fix,
contact me via one of the IM networks below:

    MSN: zmatrix_background@hotmail.com
    ICQ: 298615633
    Yahoo: zmatrix_background

Thanks again for the bug report and follow up. I don't
normally use opaque mode, so I might not have noticed it for
    a long time.

This bug has been addressed, and version 1.5.2 should resolve the
    bug.
