#20 new desktop icon text obscured

for new desktop icons, the description text is overlayed
by the streams. the icon itself, however, remains intact.

this is only for icons created by a secondary process -
not for files copied/moved to the desktop.

examples - new text document from context menu -
files saved through browser.

the situation is remdied if a refresh is performed.

Hey,

As with the previous report (#661172), I'm aware of this
problem too... As with the previous bug, I've not come up
with a good solution to the problem, but if I do, a response
will be posted here.
