#118 reverts to asterisks

Running the program on Windows XP Pro,
After leaving it running for awhile the screensaver
only shows asterisks. They still stream, but there are
almost no characters other than the asterisk
produced and only asterisks remain after the leading
stream until cleanup.

I also experienced this "problem" but "fixed" it:

Try this: Uninstall and reinstall. This time, select all options (winamp plugin etc.) and make sure it is set to run at startup, etc. That made it work correctly for me.
