[ZMapServer-Developers] Using ogr.py in PCL

Hi all,

I think we could really use GDAL and OGR in the Python Cartographic 
Library to support the various disk-based data stores.  For those of 
you are aren't from the GIS world, this software

    http://gdal.maptools.org/

provides a great interface to both raster and vector data.  The 
libraries are a bit heavy, but not difficult to build from source and 
have binaries for most platforms including win32.

Any objections?
