#12 left menu disappears

When browsing at http://blogs.zmag.org, sometimes the
left menu disappears and the interface becomes a
single-column. I have to go outside the blogs system
and then come back in in order to fix it.

Also, sometimes I have to log in multiple times before
login is successful.
