All, Occasionally (twice a month - no pattern) my Ziproxy process dies. There is an error in the log which says... <Date> <Time> - Failed to connect socket for receiving connections (port: 8080). <Date> <Time> - The specified PID does not exist! Nothing to do. PID file: /var/run/Ziproxy.pid Has anyone seen this error before? Does anyone know why? How can I analyse this further? Would the InerceptCrashes help or hinder? It seems that there are too many active connections and ziproxy is hitting the (default?) OS limit. .dan Em Wednesday 13 November 2013, Paul Simons escreveu: > All, > Occasionally (twice a month - no pattern) my Ziproxy process dies. Thanks for that Dan. I will take a look at the current settings. To development: If this is the case, I think an error message in either 'messages' or 'error.log' and a reject would be a better solution than an exit? So I took all the advice I found about running Ziproxy when I installed it and ran it as an un-privileged user. Then I put my security hat on and ran it with a '/bin/nologin' shell. I am now guessing this 'pseudo' user does not have enough resources so what is a reasonable limit to put in the Ziproxy.conf and is this even the best way of working around this?
