#5 usb thrustmaster joypad / text appearance

when i plug my usb thrustmaster (firestorm dual analog 3)
joypad in and start the game all the text in the game is replaced
by white rectangles. when i press a certain button of the joypad the
rectangles change color. the controling via joypad itself works
flawlessly. when i start without pluged usb-pad all shown text is
all right. thx for any help.
