Personal view:
As this is easily acheviable by current ZINT by entering the SMS data as ascii, I don't think someone will go to this extension with qzint.
I hope you know, that you just have to enter the text "sms:..." and then you have your code.

I tend to agree with Harald - Zint is a tool for taking data and converting it to a barcode symbol. IMHO manipulating the data, even just to add a prefix, goes beyond the DOTADIW philosophy. There are already some features in Zint which I think could be classified as 'bloat'. We have to draw the line somewhere.
