I can't open a session as Fido.
When booting as fido, an error occurs :
"Can't create symlink /usr/bin/X (permission denied)"
At this point a console opens.
It seems dedicated to fixing X, but i dont see any usefull option.
I tried several times, and installed several times anew.
Install with root user are fine, but install as fido hang with this message.
sda1 features a lubuntu install and menu.lst for grub4dos
sda3 features puppylinux from your repo
exact error message is
"failed to create symbolic link /usr/bin/X : permission denied"
"Starting X. Specs in /etc/X11/xorgs.conf., startup app /root/.xinitrc"
Not sure why you are trying to do this.... Puppy Linux is designed to run as ROOT..... FIDO is VERY EXPERIMENTAL and not recommended or tested. If you do wish to continue please ask for help on the forum, but be very clear about what you are trying to do and why you want to do it. Puppy Linux may not be the right OS for you!

Full installs are also not recommended - a Puppy frugal install provides equivalent functionality with much greater flexibility.
Yes my install is a frugal install.
With fido, i want to restrict user files display and creation to a specific sub-folder ('/root' actualy) (because user is 'lost' with a global / view and doesnt recognize its usual document folders).
Ok I created a thread on the murga forum
