Hello,

I compiled, linked and installed the latest source code in Linux.
(Linux merlinix 3.2.0-38-generic #61-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 19 12:18:21 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux)

I used the following commands:
sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools
sudo apt-get install python-gtk2-dev
sudo apt-get install mercurial
hg clone http://zbar.hg.sourceforge.net:8000/hgroot/zbar
cd zbar
autoreconf --install
./configure --help
./configure --prefix=/home/hugof/projects/ocr/software/zbar_install --exec-prefix=/home/hugof/projects/ocr/software/zbar_install

Got this:

please verify that the detected configuration matches your expectations:
X --with-x=yes
pthreads --enable-pthread=yes
v4l --enable-video=yes
jpeg --with-jpeg=yes
ImageMagick --with-imagemagick=check
Python --with-python=yes
GTK+ --with-gtk=yes
Qt4 --with-qt=yes
Java --with-java=no
=> the Java interface will NOT be built

Then I executed:
make
make install

I then get (among other things):

test -z "/home/hugof/projects/ocr/software/zbar_install/include" || /bin/mkdir -p "/home/hugof/projects/ocr/software/zbar_install/include"
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 include/zbar.h '/home/hugof/projects/ocr/software/zbar_install/include'

However the sub-directory include/zbar is not generated.
All other include files are consequently not copied.
The process ends with:

/usr/bin/install: cannot stat ./doc/man/zbarimg.1': No such file or directory /usr/bin/install: cannot stat./doc/man/zbarcam.1': No such file or directory
make[3]: [install-man1] Error 1
make[2]: [install-am] Error 2

make[1]: [install-recursive] Error 1
make: [install] Error 2

I think this a simple issue of adding another test and copy instruction.

TIA
