if you are trying to give two different users/groups access to the same data, you could just create and give them two different dashboards only showing the data that they need to see. This way you collect all the data once, but present it differently to different people. I do this for some of my users today. I present the same data (or a portion of it) to different user groups. Both have permission to the raw data, but the item is hidden behind the custom dashboard for the group.
