IMPORTANT: Win9x README

Windows 9x (95,98,me) have very limited command line lengths. This really isn't a problem but makes things very difficult for command line programs like this.

You can get around this problem by leveraging the -d option to save off long options to file.

In the next version I will improve the parsing code to allow for edition of the options file and to do "first time setup" to query for common things like user name, email address, etc.... read more

0.20 release

The 0.20 release has been sitting on my desk for a long time. I've posted about a gig through the win32 executable, and the unix code seems to have made it through my changes intact.

The bottom line is that at this point, the code should be cross compile clean, the exe should work, and I hope that I don't have any bugs other than the stupid thing on Win95a where the command line is so short as to make this program unusable.

CVS stable now, win32 cross compile ready

The tip of the CVS tree is stable and should cross compile on win32. I've posted about 2G with the new linux version, and 200M with the win32 version. In a few weeks, we'll release this tip as the next version. Regards,

Jonathan

Don't pull from CVS

Pulling non-tagged versions of the code from CVS will just bring suffering as I use it aggressively as a sandbox. Tagged versions are safe of course. The tarball is what you should be pulling anyway.
