Welcome to Yina project,

If you are here it's probably because you want some information about Yina !

Yina allows you to play videos inside Linux terminals (displayed in ascii characters), it'is actually more a small personal project than and ultimate open source software. I'am working on the 0.1 alpha version witch would contain the basic routines for future Yina developements, including:

-Multiple file input support.
-Easy command line options parsed to the program.
-Video display
-Audio support
-Basic interface control
-Debug system

The objective of Yina is not just to make a simple movie player, but to feature a large multimedia center (Yina can easly act as an audio player or an image viewer) in the future that turns around the idea of "Ascii-art media center".
