Hello.

The macros that you added are good and will enhance convenience of list access.  It is also a good idea to differentite the error codes, and many other globals, with the yacl_ or yaclib_ prefix (capitalized for constants).  The error codes should also be enumerations, rather than define statements.  I will make the conversion to enumerations, but I will hold back on adding the prefix until other developers share their thoughts on this.
