Also need to figure out how to add these to the build process, as I have tested adding these to the tmp/cd-build/etch/boot1/isolinux/ but they revert to the defauits when building the CD. -- - -- Zeb Carnell Triquestra International Personal Blog: http://zebcarnell.blogspot.com ************************************************************ The information contained in this email is confidential and may be legally privileged. Uploaded isolinux folder to the SVN under ISO > Trunk section. Debian specific information has been removed from F1 - F10 and replaced with YESLinux. Now need to be customized for YES and a boot splash image must be created. -- - -- Zeb Carnell Triquestra International Personal Blog: http://zebcarnell.blogspot.com ************************************************************ The information contained in this email is confidential and may be legally privileged. I propose we look into using Webmin for the admin panel instead of the current YES Linux v2 option. Some of the reasons are because it is widely accepted for system administration, very extendible, ability to code extensions in multiple languages (python, perl, or php), very secure, allows us to not have to maintain a complete subsystem only modules custom for our iso. I think we can have both an easy and advanced interface to webmin so beginners dont get overwhelmed with complexity. I do believe though we will have to add a way for thirdparty admin panels to be integrated into webmin as now that is not possible fom my understanding, but i think we can do it in a generic way. |

here is the thread from google groups so nothing gets lost: Here are a list of requirements i see that are needed for the admin interface in v3: - web based (any browser) - desktop app feel (probably using ajax) - extensible for thirdparty apps (no all admin apps will be from us) - a way to plug in different admin ui (ie phpmyadmin, or shopping cart admin, etc) in the current version v2 it was implemented using frames and urls. dont no if that is still a good approach - only accessible using http(s) please comment.... ========= Perhaps a section for installing extra applications. I.e: point and click install. Tick the tick boxes of the programs needed and hit install. apt-get backend so all dependencies are automatically installed |
