[Yazd-developer] Error in compiling source code..

Hi,

I have downloaded Yazd 3.0 src. While compiling it get the following error

D:\Projects\yazd_src_3_0\source\com\Yasna\forum\database\DbConnectionDefaultPool.java:904:
error: DbConnectionDefaultPool.ConnectionWrapper is not abstract and does
not override abstract method getNetworkTimeout() in Connection

What may be the reason for this?  I am using JDK 1.7 with netbeans

Also, Is it possible to change the authentication process. I want to use
the same authentication used in my website . What needs to be done to
achieve this?

I am sorry I forgot to mention that I tried downloading some cvs clients
like tortoisecvs...but they simply wont install on this win 7 machine.....I
have tried installing ubuntu on my machine many times....but the ubuntu
installer freezes up.....
moreover....i am not at all familiar with its use. I would be really obliged
if someone could mail me the entire yazdi source code, that would be a great
help for me and my friend.......

I am Rushabh Shah, currently studying in University of Southern California, Los Angeles and pursing my masters degree in Computer Science.

I am working on a social networking project and i need to add discussion board/message forum COTS to the system i am developing.

Searching for open source message forum COTS on the internet, i came across your forum and really am impressed with the features that Yazd 3.0 is providing.

I am trying to download the forum but i am not able to download it.
Can you help me with this problem, is it that the link has been removed?

and one more thing i would like to ask you is,

If i get the source code from you, can i customize the forum and use it for my project.
It would be great if you can let me know the technical specifications

I'd like to change the date format to include the year..  We have posts with

however, we'd like the format:

Thursday, Jan 16 2003 at 5:67 PM

What do you think of making the date format used by SkinUtils.dateToText a
property defined in the properties file?   If a patch would be considered,
I'll send that in, otherwise I'll just hack up the JSP directly.

[Yazd-developer] MySQL Lacking INDEX entries

Hi All,
     I was installing Yazd 1.0 recently.  When it came time to run the DB 
script, I took a look inside.  One thing that immediately jumped out was the 
lack of INDEX in the table creation.  I looked around at all the other DB 
scripts and found that they all had INDEX entries.  I went ahead and added 
them for MySQL as they are indicated in the other scripts.  I wanted to know 
if the lack of INDEX was intentional or not?

[Yazd-developer] trying to integrate yazd into jetspeed

Hi,

I'm currently trying to integrate yazd into a portlet into the jetspeed 
system.
To do so I have to replace the authentification system of yazd.
Has anyone ever done it and how?

What i tried was to assume that my jetspeed's user are not in yazd and 
when yazd tries to retrieve the user's Authorization, I insert a new 
basic user, and retrieve that user's new Authorization, and give it to yazd.
good idea? bad idea? what's the hell is that?

I want to set up this forum with a Tree view, that means you see the 
threads not as a linear structure but as a TREE. Ideal would be a display 
like in groups.google.com, where you have two frames. On the left frame you 
can see the TREE structure, and on the right you see the current selected 
article, or maybe a list of 10 sequential articles(like in groups.google.com).

[Yazd-developer] Question about a good "server" declaration

While setting up Yazd on a wintel box under Tomcat, I'm pretty impressed 
with the setup wizard.  That is, up until I need a server declaration 
string: e.g. jdbc:mysql:???

Where the database name is yasd and mysql is operating on localhost and its 
usual port (3036, if memory serves).  I haven't found a combination of 
strings that make Yazd happy:
jdbc:mysql://yasd
jdbc:mysql:yasd@localhost:3036
...
and so forth.

Any thoughts?

Created an admin user through the admin setup tool given, and used it to =
get the Authorization Token in my code. When I attempted to get the =
