No it doesn't at this time. Maybe in later version.
But like Roedy Green posted on a forum:
"There is something a little goofy about using SSL to get your mail to
the server then travelling all the rest of the way unencrypted.
Perhaps you want to look into S/MIME for end to end encryption."

Now modify "assembleJavaxMailSession" in
for using the SSLSocketFactory with SMTP.
If you're done with that, I'll take a look how to where
to modify for POP3.
Just found this old thread. Meanwhile SSL is supported for POP3 and SMTP...
