#2 When booting, L 99

I have debian testing installed, and installed the
testing version of yard (2.2-3). I have been using it
for a while without problems (meaning, I created a set
of boot disks (dual 1722 KB) several months ago, and
they have worked Ok). Recently, I had to update the
boot disks. It may be possible that in the meantime I
upgraded the kernel or something else in my machine
(via apt-get). Yard doesn't work anymore. Symptoms are:

1. If I re-run yard, lilo is unable to create the boot
disk.
2. If I add "compact", the disks are created, but on
booting I get l 99 99 99...
3. If I change "install=/boot/boot.b" into
"install=text", the disks are created, L 99 again.
4. If I configure yard not to use lilo, the disks are
created. The boot disk loads the kernel, but instead of
asking me for the root disk, the machine reboots.

This is all very frustrating, since it DID work before.
Any hints?

Thanks,

Gonzalo
