Conditional Modifiers for Wondrous Items
Yet another Pathfinder Character Generator

This is an extract of the wondrous item data.
Item name is in column C, description is in column E. Read the description, then fill in the conditional bonus columns (O to V) where appropriate.
Target is the thing that gets the bonus (eg "Acrobatics", "Will Save", etc)
Bonus is the size of the bonus (or penalty) eg 1, 2, -5 etc
Type is the bonus type, eg morale, circumstance. Leave blank if the bonus is untyped
Condition is when the bonus applied eg "vs goblins", "on checks to gather information", etc
Things to note:
* I've added a notes column in column A. If an item has more than two modifiers, or if an item is unclear etc, make a note and I'll take a look.
* Some items may not have correct description (especially if it is active based on race or alignment) If it says something like "You can't use this", then you may need to look up the actual item description.
* I've included the permanent bonus columns just so a bonus doesn't get added twice. If you think a permanent bonus should be conditional (or vice versa) then make a note of it.
If you'd like to help, leave a post saying which rows you are looking at - probably best t do only 100 or 200 rows at a time. When you are done, add your modified file as an attachment here.
Here is the input file.
I'll try and have a look at this within the next week. I'm happy to help! Anyone else jumping in?
1-300 done.

I'd like to get in on this. I was looking throught the file.
Are we supposed to just add stuff like the bonuses? There's a lot of items that leave me hanging on how to enter them.
I started looking at rows between 1000-1100 as to not clash with what Wedenbine was doing.
I fixed a typo or two as I went along, but yeah, look to put bonuses into the cells on the right. It took me 3 readings of the original post to make sure I was doing it right. - at least I hope I have been. Fairly think so.
Yes, you just need to add any conditional modifiers. Most items won't have any conditional modifiers, you don't need to do anything for them.
For example, if you start at row 1000 the Feychild amulet (row 1001) is the first one you'd need to enter stuff for. The description cell has:
So for this you'd enter two conditional modifiers
Target = "Charisma checks"
Bonus = "4"
Type = "competence"
Condition = "checks to interact with Gnomes and Fey"
Target = "Charisma checks"
Bonus = "-2"
Type = "competence"
Condition = "checks to interact with races other than Gnomes and Fey"
Skimming through, it looks like the next ones would be Mind Sentinel Medallion and Mummer's Ruff (1007,1008)
Note that you don't need to do modifiers that are always on (no conditions) - those should already be listed under the "Permanent Bonus" columns (e.g. Guardian Gorget (1005))
If there are particular items where you're not sure, you can just type something like "not sure" in column A and I can check.
For typos, etc, make a note in column A or just make a post here. My plan was to just copy in the new columns, so changes in the other columns may not get picked up. (also if it's a common typo, then I'll do a find and replace in case there are any other instances. (e.g. I just fixed up "competance" in the Feychild amulet description, plus a couple of other times it occured)

Added 1-300 to 8.165, thanks!
All right, simple enough. I'll definitely help out with this.
OK, so as a test I did a quick add of 1000-1030.
Can you check and tell me if I'm doing it correctly before I go ahead and do larger bulks at a time?
Thanks! I've included these in 8.166 (with minor changes listed below)
row 1007: the target is "Saving Throws" and the condition is "vs mind-affecting spells, etc"
row 1008: for skill names, just put the skill name "Bluff". If the bonus doesn't have a specific type listed, then leave the Type column blank.
row 1027: Put it in the conditional columns. (Permanent bonuses should already be included so I'm not normally looking at them) Again target is "Saving Throws", condition is "vs disease, etc"
row 1029: Hm. For items that you have to activate to use, I'd put the condition as something like "after activating the item"
If you want to see some example of how I do it, you can unhide the "Trait Data" page in the main spreadsheet. Columns K onwards have conditional modifiers for the traits.
Thanks again!

OK, I'll give it another shot and update!
1000-1100 Done.
Still getting the hang of it, so there's a lot of comments on the notes section.
Sorry, didn't see this before.
Added those in for 8.170
Thanks!
