[Yanc-user] No configs possible

Hello,

I just installed yanc and can't do anything with it.I can't get into the
menu for the quality setting and the menu with the screen resolutions
doesn't show any configured modes at all.
It can write to the /X11 directory - config.yanc is there and it reads
the correct info about card and drivers but all I can do is 'enable
performance options' in the 'performance' tab and access the 'general'
tab.
The changes that are made in the areas that I can access aren't saved.

hardware info:

biostar nforce2 motherboard
geforce fx5600

software:

gentoo 1.4
xfree 4.3.0
nvidia driver 1.0.4363
