Yammi - Yet Another Music Manager I... / News: Recent posts

Probably the last version of my project: version 1.2.3 just fixes a bug preventing compilation with recent gcc compilers...

Unfortunately two bugs slipped into version 1.2.1 (icons and translation files missing in tarball, no umlaute replaced when creating filenames), so here is a new release.

Here is a bug fix version of 1.2 which also introduces a new feature: A configurable HTML playlist view...

This is the first version of Yammi as a proper KDE application.

Still alpha quality - any feedback appreciated!

Give it a try, or expect the hopefully stable 1.0 in a few weeks...

Better tested, hopefully compiles on most systems...

Beta-version, not heavily tested yet...
Most important changes:
- Noatun support (Yammi controls two noatun instances => enabling crossfading! still experimental...)
- configurable filename pattern
- a few minor enhancements

Finally! ...should compile with gcc3.2.

This really is a beta version - I did not have the time for extensive testing, and there were major internal changes.
Any feedback and bug reports are welcome!

Version 0.6 is the first version based on QT3. It also contains a few minor improvements and bug fixes.

I have just created a mailing list for interested Yammi users. Subscribe to it, if you want to be informed about new releases, bugs and other issues related to Yammi. (follow the "Lists" link and choose "Subscribe/Unsubscribe/Preferences")

- probably last version based on QT2.x
- changed database format, old format will be converted, but future versions will rely on new format

Basically a bugfix release (a few bugs related to jukebox functionality).
Also added progress dialogs to operations that might take longer.

added features:
- Jukebox functionality (load songs from CDs on demand)
- multiple plugin commands configurable
- rewritten "Update Database" function

- categories are ordered now (and therefore can function as playlists)
- basic plugin support (successfully tested with mp3burn and cdlabelgen)
- rewritten folder handling, should be a bit faster

- includes fairly complete documentation & genre support, playback position slider, ...

Version 0.3 is the next beta release, heading to a stable release in a few weeks/month...
It adds a couple of features, especially an enhanced GUI, playlist-management and a history folder.
