I'm using YAML.pm to read a substantial configuration file. Some line breaks that I would have thought were legal are not passing muster: # this works options: - j: [ user, pid, ppid, sess, jobc, state, tt, time, command ] # this fails - j: [ user, pid, ppid, sess, jobc, state, tt, time, command ] # this works note2: > When printing using the command keyword, a process that has exited and has a parent ... # this fails note2: "When printing using the command keyword, a process that has exited and has a parent ... Apparently, I don't understand the rules for in-line comments... # this works - &Dec '\s*(\d+)' # this fails - &Dec '\s*(\d+)' # Decimal -r -- email: rd...@cf...; phone: +1 650-873-7841 http://www.cfcl.com/rdm - my home page, resume, etc. http://www.cfcl.com/Meta - The FreeBSD Browser, Meta Project, etc. http://www.ptf.com/dossier - Prime Time Freeware's DOSSIER series |

The inline tests at the wiki, which test the examples in the documentation, also fail. This leads me to believe that YAML.pm just can't handle all of the example YAML, including the multi-line strings. Is that true? --=20 rjbs |

YAML.pm 0.35 predates multiline content. Yes, I know... The rewrite of YAML.pm WILL FIX ALL! When will that be? All I can say is that it will happen, and that it is extremely important to me.
