I implemented the spirit of the yaxml spec in python. (~ 50 lines) http://www.yaml.org/xml.html Showing my work to a coworker highlighted the <_/> weirdness. Wouldn't it be better to substitute <_/> <_key/> and <_value> with namespaced elements? There is a declared yaml namespace already. Making a practice of using a short qname like 'y' would keeping the elements short. The only downside to this would be that the namespace would be required more often, where the current design allows one to leave it out for lists and most mappings. -- Darrin |
