Hi all, BlueG kindly pointed out my misunderstanding on utf8u. I now understood that it really defines a new data type and that it belongs to the first group in my last post. Then, I do not have any objection to it. I also found that !!binary also has its definintion as an independent data type. I understood it is probably mapped to a byte array in many environment. I'm embarrassed by my misunderstandings. I still have some difficulty in fully understanding !!binary and !!utf8u. I'll think about them by myself a little more. Meanwhile, I withdraw my proposal of the "Node Encoding," though I might want to discuss it later from some different point of view. Thank you for your help, BlueG! Best, Osamu TAKEUCHI |
