I see. How about this idea: You create a beautiful page for yaml.com that points people to either yaml.org or yaml.de, and I could put that content on yaml.com for you. Both projects should be equally represented and our YAML should be listed first.

I still need to check with the rest of the YAML community, and I could not guarantee that this arrangement would last forever, although I suspect it will last longer than your CSS framework's popularity.

Just to reiterate, I have no intention of giving up the yaml.com domain name. However since at this time, both of these are open source projects, and yaml.org is our main site I would be willing to work with you.

I am cc'ing the YAML mailing list to get their input.

that is, we create an additional Deep link to yaml.org + we write "yaml.com" sponsored by "yaml.org"

We want to support as your project with Design + Deep Link, as thanks for the domain yaml.com

Hallo Ingy,

sorry, I really would have been glad if you can not do anything.
the YAML CSS project can not be changed the name/domain, it already has a PageRank 8 and is also very high on alexa

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/http%3a%2f%2fwww.yaml.org
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/http%3a%2f%2fwww.yaml.de

that was the reason for my request, my idea was - and beautiful design for yaml.org + link - note that you have provided us the domain yaml.com.

I don't understand what you are saying in this email. What do you mean by "note that you have provided us the domain yaml.com"?

Hallo Ingy,

I know your
works, I also find very good - it would be great if we can support you.
The name "YAML" was not invented by me but by my colleague Dirk Jesse

Hello Walter,

Dirk must certainly have known about the original YAML when he chose to reuse the name for the CSS project. I personally found his choice to be an extremely bad one, but there was nothing to do except live with it.

That said, there is NO chance that I will give up the yaml.com domain for your project. To do so would detract from the true YAML. YAML is in widespread use in every modern programming language.

I still think you should change your name, before your project becomes more popular. For example, Ethereal changed names to Wireshark after several years (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireshark). Yet Another Multicolumn Layout isn't even a very good name, imho. Why not change it to something more exciting that still has a free .com name?

Ingy

Since the information on "yaml.com" older than "yaml.org", which is why I asked for a deal ;-))

Hello,

A better idea would be for you to change the name of your CSS project. YAML is a data serialization language since 2001. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YAML

Hallo Brian,
Hallo Clark,

we would like to take the domain "YAML.com" and use it with YAML.de.
"YAML" = "Yet Another Multicolumn Layout" - is a CSS Framework

"YAML.org" we create for you a beautiful design for free
example:http://nxtbgthng.com/

We are the projectpartner from YAML.de / Dirk Jesse.
