This new release brings distance based voice chat and improved 3D and 2D graphics. Both versions, MS Windows and Linux are provided.
This update brings a better support for special characters in chat messages. Further more, the GUI skin has been updated.
Besides some small fixes, the update to version 1.2.1 fixes a problem with dynamic shadows on nVidia cards (related to a nVidia driver bug).
VRC 1.2.0 has been released. This release provides visual enhancements such as shadow mapping, some bug fixes and an early version of voice chat functionality.

This update will improve the sound features and notification for chat activity when the application window is minimized or has no input focus. Furthermore, the CPU usage will be reduced when the application window is minimized.

Virtual Reality Chat 1.1.0 has been released for win32 and linux platforms. In addition to several fixes, a Map View has been added. The chatbox has been improved too, allowing a better handling of multiple IRC server connections.
Virtual Reality Chat is a 3D chat application supporting the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) protocol. In addition it supports an own simple chat protocol, too. VRC can be used in 'Walk-Through' or networked mode. In Walk- Through mode, you can enjoy the virtual reality and chat with others using IRC protocol. For networked mode one connects to an existing VRC server and can use both, VRC specific and IRC chat protocol. In networked mode every client is represented by an avatar in the virtual reality.
first releases of Virtual Reality Chat (VRC) are ready for download. next releases will improve physics and networking. currently VRC is ported to linux.
The licensing has been changed to LGPL to ease the usage in commercial products.
A new beta release for "Capture the Diamond" is out. It contains the fly-by level: Machine Room.
The game is basing on NeoEngine and RakNet ( for networking ).
