#196 horizontal differences broken

I can't get xxdiff to show individual horizontal differences on my data files. Regardless of my settings (multiple, min context=1) the differences show as a huge single difference, spanning from the beginning of the first different character to the last different character.
All lines in my data files exhibit the same problem, so I am enclosing just a single line example.

It's not obvious how to attach my two files so I will concatenate them and attach the result.

This file has two lines to be xxdiff'd. I concatenated my two files into one since it looks like this interface allows only a single file to be attached
