#9 Battery Draining Issue

I love this application (used it since it was available for the Palm). However, the latest release has a serious battery draining issue. If it is running in the foreground it takes a few hours to eat up the battery, a little more than half a day if it is running in the background. I am running it on a Samsung Note 3 running Android 4.4.2. I hope this bug can be fixed and would be willing to help troubleshoot if I can.
