I use the latest xvidcap on Ubuntu. Not the one from the repositories but the .deb one. Xvidcap shows that it records in mp3 but in the replay there is no sound.
A ran a few lines in my terminal: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn177/Ptolemeus/Intelcard.png
What the heck could be wrong?

Similar problem as reported by rblevin. I'm running ubuntu lucid 10.04 for amd64 and xvidcap 1.1.7.

I too have great video capture but no audio capture. I even read the FAQ and checked all the options suggested there.
I'm running Linux Mint Debian Edition 64bit.
This looks to be an AWESOME program if only I can get the audio to capture!
