I ran the shell script for permission corrections, but because of the
above error, when I try to open the application, the critical
extension isn't loaded. I'm not that familiar yet with OS X (10.2), so
I can't really effectively correct the situation. Does anyone know
what the problem is? Is Jaguar incompatible with this version? I ran
the shell permissions script several times without luck.

This problem has a simple solution!

    1) Open the file XTelevision/Contents/Resources/LoadKext.sh with
    TextEdit

    2) Locate the line: success=`/usr/sbin/kmodstat | grep
    org.gnu.iokit.Bt8xx`

    3) Edit it to: success=`/usr/sbin/kextstat | grep
    org.gnu.iokit.Bt8xx`

    4) Re-run "fixpermissions.sh.command" in the same folder as
XTelevision.app or assign permission of the LoadKext.sh back to
    'System'.

No more error in 10.2! Now, if I could only figure out what
hardware to set for my old ixTV card! :)

The previous directions still work in Panther (10.3). To make the
adjustments, you need to open the Application's package by Right-
Clicking (or Control-clicking) the XTelevision application and selecting
    View Package Contents.
