I've developed a (rather crude so far) help system update, upgrading it from libgtkhtml2 to webkit. This was done as an emergency measure for Debian as Squeeze was about to release with an uninstallable xtrkcad and thus it would have been removed from Debian. We made it in with one day to spare.
The new library also fixes the 'web links don't work' problem the help system had before as a side effect; webkit has network stack support built in. It also automatically tracks browsing history, allowing the removal of that code from the tree for easier maintenance.
Anyone running Debian unstable that could test the package before it hits testing would be appreciated, and/or testing after it hits testing as well. This package also builds on Ubuntu, if anyone's interested let me know and I can provide binary and source packages.
I plan to add these changes to the source repository for the project, but I'd prefer not to use cvs if I can avoid it.
