If using lots of rolling stock to test the layout in Run Train Mode it gets in the way when using Design Mode. I'm talking about too much to just shuffle out of the way onto another track and/or delete and rebuid for each ops run between each design tweak.

Request for ability to hide/show of rolling stock normally used in Ops Mode.
Options could include i) a straight global show/hide function, ii) ability to attach them to layer(s) which can be hidden/shown as required,

Whichever works for you, either would work fine. The layer option would potentially offer more flexiblity if the user wanted to show/hide certain types of trains.

Many thanks

You can already place rolling stock/engines on their on layer and turn that layer on/off.

Sorry but I can't see it in the interface or the help files.

    A couple of observations:

    • There is no Layer field/text box in the 'Change Object Proerties/Describe' dialog box for locos and rolling stock. If the loco/stock's layer is configurable like other object layers then it needs to at least i) show in the 'Change Object Proerties/Describe' dialog box for that object, and ii) ideally that Layer field is editable/pull down to choose/change the layer.

    • As far as I can tell this leaves the only one way to change it, which is via Move to Current Layer. I tried this, then tried turning the layer on/off and nothing happens. I have no other feedback mechanism on whether the stock was actually allocated the layer becuase there is no Layer field in the 'Change Object Proerties/Describe' dialog box.

    Many thanks
