xspect3d 1.06 released

Building on the solid foundation of xspect3d 1.05, 1.06 has a few new features and bug fixes.

New features are Dolph-Chebyshev data tapering windows, and a new bigger better main window. There are now 1024 frequency bins, instead of the old 512. Say goodbye to that pesky leakage with Blackman windows, and enjoy the Big Picture.

Another new feature is more accurate windowing power loss compensation. The power loss is restored after the FFT now, instead of before, which was quicker but not as accurate.... read more

xspect3d 1.05 released

The last release in the 1.0x series is here.

Now with dbus IPC support. Control a whole swarm of xspect3ds from one window.

Gone are the ugly menus, and the even uglier Xlib code to support them. Gone are the scales and header, the whole window is now used for the real-time 3D action.

Status info is now provided in the window (and icon) title.

xspect3d-1.04 Released

This is a bug fix, and addresses issues with users having NVidia proprietary drivers. xspect3d now works well and is tested on ATI/Xorg, Intel/Xorg and NVidia/proprietary systems.

xspect3d-1.03 Released

This exciting release brings the usual bugfixes plus a new threading/scheduling paradigm that makes xspect3d simply the best visualization for linux, even at high frame rates.
