There is clearly a possibility based on Java applets and other
proprietary extensions for IE and Mozilla FireFox. This does not seem to
be very difficult.

Upload control requires the capability to read local files as Off-line
data option.

Yes, there is a future plan for supporting this. The truth is that I
don't need it myself yet and that I have now other priorities for the
next weeks.
