Alain, thanks for the immediate response! Yes, all I did was copying the following URLs to the address line.. c:\Users\user\Desktop\test.xml file://c:/Users/user/Desktop/test.xml file://localhost/c:/Users/user/Desktop/test.xml ..and they are all converted to: file://localhost/c:/Users/user/Desktop/test.xml It might be that the local address resolution of Opera causes the problems? All of the URL mentioned above, however, seems to cause no problems when being run in Firefox, Chrome or IE.
