I think your problem is due to a limitation of XSLTForms. When a 
submission is performed by XMLHttpRequest, the result should be analyzed 
to look at an XSLT processing instruction.

I haven't developed it yet because I prefer to use a specific submission 
method based on HTML form. Have a look at
