#3 can not input chinese.

I build xsim-0.3.9.4 under XFree-4.2.1 and kde 3.1-rc5
successfully. but I can get it to show chinese characters
only on the input panel. I can never put the characters
onto the kword or openoffice or any other programs with
space key. when I use return ,it put the ascii code onto
the programs. what can I do with it?

By the way. I use debian.
