fixes to work around windows braindamage in processing arguments to exec

temporary fix for a bug in shell argument splitting under windows

Update on docu. for statistics/0 based on more understanding of
subsumptive tabling. may need another update before I get it right.

Main change was to provide documentation for statistics/0 which hadnt been
updated in several versions. Also updated a few .bib entries while I was in there.

fixes to enable correct line counts in prolog and c mode.

Finally fixed wttest bug -- also fixed some forgotten imports in xsb_ciao.

Added option to prevent gpp from reporting warnings when a flora program
has \n inside an atom.
Needs an update to xsb.

Added a discussion of open versus multiple bound calls to the manual.

some more fixes to allow gpp to report included text's lines correctly

completed #include

made split_line handle the predefined escape chars correctly: \n\t, etc.
