Does anybody use it heavily? The problem is that its 3d argument (the position of the match) is inconsistent with other string functions substring and string_substitute. str_sub/3 starts counting with 1 while others start with 0. I'd like to fix this one way or another. I think programmers are more used to count from 0, but it is open for debate. I checked and see that XSB itself doesn't use the 3d arg of sub/3. Among the packages, only xmc and flora2 use it. We can include the incompatible change in the release notes. Opinions? --michael |
