Conflict terrain and material shaders

There is a conflict in the current system with shaders:
Once you apply specular maps and normal maps to a texture by assigning them in a matching .shader, they will not inherit these changes into terrains, causing rendering issues.
Although it is possible to add such effects to the terrain shaders, it causes incompatibility issue's when a material is not used in a terrain, but as a normal brush texture.
