I am using xrdp installed via the scarygliders' X11RDP-o-Matic shell script on a Ubuntu 16.04 system.
The client connects via FreeRDP (also from a Ubuntu 16.04 system). Connect command is:

xfreerdp /bitmap-cache:on /kbd:0x0407 /multimon

Client uses the remote desktop on two monitors each with 1920x1200. The X11rdp process consumes 4+ GB memory (RSS),
currently 6 GB memory and rising. The user uses a lot of Java Swing applications. After a couple of days of working, the system
goes berserk swapping memory out to swap space. X11rdp seem to need GBs of data in memory.

Can you explain this behaviour?
What is the reason for the high memory consumption?
Can the memory consumption be reduced somehow?
