#5 Unable to start XPN 0.7.0

I downloaded "XPN 0.7.0 (binary with GTK- win32)" and unzipped it. Then I ran xpn_setup without any visible problems. However, when I double click on the XPN icon a popup appears with this text: "Errors occurred See the logfile 'C:\Program Files\XPN\xpn.exe.log' for details". When I look in the log file I see this:

Have I made some simple mistake?

I exchanged e-mails with the program's author about the problem but he was unable to reproduce it. If I remember correctly I solved the problem by installing the GTK+ runtimes then installing the XPM binary *without* GTK. (I hope I got that right and, if so, that it helps.)
