Re the arc file Isn't it the way, you give up and then later have a look at something = and you get fresh ideas. If you reverse the first set, then it is = rendered properly, i.e. you have to end at 90 not start at 90 so top line should read=20 75,180,90,180 color=3Dwhite Mike -----Original Message----- From: Michael Dear=20 Sent: 06 January 2004 9:52 AM To: Hari Nair; xpl...@li... Subject: RE: [Xplanet-development] drawing an arc The International Date line (IDL) doesn't actually have any fixed = points. I do have a arc file for the IDL but for some reason xplanet doesn't = like the rendering the first set. If someone can fix it then I would = use it again. Subject: Re: [Xplanet-development] drawing an arc I haven't tried this, but why not make a file of 1-degree segments like this: 90 180 89 180 89 180 88 180 . . . -88 180 -89 180 -89 180 -90 180 If the arcs aren't straight enough, use 1/2 degree or smaller intervals. I think the arc file should handle crossing the 180 longitude meridian. If you come up with an arc file for the date line with the proper zigs and zags, I'd appreciate a copy.
