New Start

About 9 month ago the project get stuck: I discovererd some performance issues and I had no idea how to solve them. Instead I looked around for ideas and tested and ran into several deadends.
But now I think I have a concept and will soon begin to implement it.

It works again

...but dont ask why. I would be glad to understand it. While working on the way the airport-painting is managed (state based) I got to a solution that even works on my Mac. But it is much slowler than on my XP-PC, which hardware should be slower than my iMac. I suspect that the SWT-Implementation on Macs are...well....not implemented very well.

Ok - I put this problem on the stack and will concentrate now on implementing the features for the remaining entities - Taxi signes, Pavements, Lines and Runways. Perhaps the SWT-experts can give me some hints on how I can get better performance on a Mac - requests are pending.... read more

Strange Effects

I redesigned most of the painting process - it is now much faster. BUT I discovered a problem on MACs: At a point during working with the editor it stops first painting drag-points, then stops painting selection frames and at last stops painting any changes in the model. You get a whole new painting with changing the zoom level, but no other repaint seems to work.

Nevertheless I release a new version today. Perhaps you MAC-users can test if this problem occurs on your machines. If not (!) tell me!... read more

New version delayed!

Hello all,

while trying to develop a way to graphically edit points for (i.e.) lines, I discovered heavy problem with my way in displaying the airport. As a result I need another way for displaying the airport - but that isnt trivial and it will take a while to get to result.

So I beg for patience - development goes on.
