This is a broad ticket that covers multiple areas.

XOWA permits editing of any offline wiki. Although edits will update page content, templates and Modules, it does have limitations:

  • pages cannot be created or deleted or renamed
  • categories are not updated
  • search words are not updated when pages are renamed
  • files cannot be updated (they can be manually swapped out on the file-system, but this is laborious)

XOWA will support this is in a far-future release. However, it will be addressed only after most read-only features are in place. This includes a read-only version on Android.

Has the images issue allready been solved (so they can be
imported from a single folder into the regular wiki structure, or
alternatively has reading from a regular folder without directory
    structure been added ? See
    http://sourceforge.net/p/xowa/tickets/159/
    http://sourceforge.net/p/xowa/discussion/defects_resolved/thread/0a45e4e5/

Finally, I was wondering whether perhaps you would implement article
renaming sooner than the article creation option ? There are quite a
number of crappy articles (ie user pages, ...) that are not needed on
my wiki, and so if I could just rename these, my problem would also be
solved (as I can allready change the article text of these even with
the current xowa version). I was thinking that the renaming feature
might be much easier to implement and so may be done sooner.

I've created a ticket for the page renames. See here: https://sourceforge.net/p/xowa/tickets/234/

As for the images, I've posted comments to that ticket. See here: http://sourceforge.net/p/xowa/tickets/159/

Just to note it down: Editing a Wikidata item should update the table with the WD-item <-> WP-article correspondence. --Schnark
