Hello there Eggplant48 here XOS Workstation is coming back with a new version 3.0 "taarna" based on linux mint and will be using the gnome desktop ditching tde and changing our forcus on the project we have new members on xos workstation including testing and coding etc we are excited to bring back XOS thanks you for your time

Hey there Eggplant48 here it's been a while but i been busty working on another project but i deicide to change the direction of xos workstation first off Am Changing the Base To Arch Or Fedora due to ubuntu not meeting our goals for the os also am changing the desktop enviroment to kde since tde is too old and i should have used kde in the first place also steam deck support won't be in the os even though i respect the steam deck owning one myself i feel that the steam deck already have a descent os included.

Hey there Guys Eggplant48 Here This is just another Small Update Am Getting a New website Up and Running soon due to wordpress being a pain to work with and my worldpress account getting hacked a few week a ago so i switch to wix since i used it a lot on other project am working on and also a fourm may be getting up and working on that website as well and donation and a possibly of a physical copy's of xos workstation am also planning on ditching xct and making it as it's own product than being included with xos also there the possibly to get people working on this project and a here a mini devlopement update the os is no were near completed but there a tornado that hit my town leaving me without power for a few hours also i been on a road block on the current build that am working on

Hello There Eggplant48 Here this is just a small update on version 2.3 "Konoko" but there is not much say first off i will be releasing this as an iso and not a recover iso for the "Computer" i was working on instead this will be an normal iso The current Build of 2.3 have the kde desktop and sddm but i plan to switch to lightdm also i think i didn't talk about this but in this release i am trying on a iso size of under 4gb with all of that here what xos 2.3 will look like

Hello There Guys Eggplant48 here a new version of xos workstation is coming up with tons of stability fixes and bugs fixes and switching to the kde desktop enviroment and with gaming features included also wayland support flatpak support xanmod kernel also snap will no longer be supported on xos workstation and will be remove in version 2.3 also a new website and branding is comming our website and sourceforge got hacked lucky we got it back also XOS Workstation may change it name to simply XOS since i don't want to target powerusers anymore and will be targeting user that come from windows and everyone and will be for a computer that am planning on selling so this new version will be release as a iso to recover the system instead of a distro for every pc

Hello There Eggplant48 Here Grasshoper is Now Out This Version of XOS Workstation is based on Ubuntu Jammy and fix the repo isssue from redstrom

This is a Small Release but it fixes a issues that was when adding repos it would gives out errors and not add the repo this release fixes that

Hello There Eggplant48 Here A New Version Of XOS Workstation is comming Code Name "GrassHopper" With Tons Of Improvment to the Os such a bug fixed when adding a repo in teminal and being based on Ubuntu Jammy However i couldn't upgrade the tde version due to it not being available for Jammy yet also i am not making a kde editon of it due to not many downloads and was a pain to make so tde will stay the default but i will make NSCDE and icewm editon to xos workstation and other super light desktop enviroment also am planning on making 2 version a year like ubuntu does with a non lts and a lts version so i can work on other projects also a donation link will be add it soon on the website and possibly on the sourceforge page so if you like my linux distro you can support my work though am not sure about that yet this is mostly a little project i started two years ago as a hobby and still as a hobby and still love work on it thank you for using my distro and am still doing to improve and release new version of this distro ... read more

Hello there Eggplant Here just a small quick update about Redstrom TDE Editon it still in the worked i apologize for the Long wait I have an issue with my Linux install that caused me to take my pc apart and rebuild it but it's working now and am back on working on XOS I have a little screenshot about the New Version Of redstrom with the tde desktop which is the regular version

Hello There Eggplant48 here a new version of XOS Workstation This Update The Kernel To 5.15 and Will be the Last version to be based on ubuntu 20 also this is the first release to have a KDE and TDE Release KDE IS already Out but there will be a Tde Release soon which am working on this month but tde can be easily install by the XCT Commands tools also a updated version of redstrom will be releasing as soon as possible ... read more

Hello there it been a while but am here to give you an update on xos workstation 2022 Redstrom and boi have it been a long ride and xos workstation have a lot of changes and also the focus of xos workstation first of i want to say the new version is no longer using tde due to a bug so i decide to switch to kde but since i belive in choice i have updated and left the tde repos in the new release and made a simple shellscript to install it as well as NSCDE so you can install it with not extra step also those script sourcecode will be release on githud soon also this version will be the last one to be based on ubuntu 20 also this version will be release sometime this month in the coming weeks so stay tune ... read more

Today i am announcing a New Version of XOS Workstation Codename RedStrom This Version Will be different than the last version Jumping into 2.x with the last version being at 1.8 or 18 This new Version will have the Liquorix Kernel And A Updated version of Tde desktop as well a gnome and kde edition planned and a new version of the XCT XOS COMMAND TOOLS In the works am planning to get this version out by early 2022 around march this version also will be built around the new version of ubuntu with that said i will continue giving update as much as i can ... read more

Hey there Eggplant Here am working on a new version of xos workstation 2022 blackstrom am putting a lot of work into this version by adding a f patch kernel to the os since linux and proton have been getting some attention i decided to add a kernel to help with that but at a iso size cost the iso with the f patch kernel was too big and xos iso is already big as it is am been trying to lower the iso size to 6.0gb of the new build to 5.0 gb so to make this possible i had to remove some pre-build apps like extreme tux racer qmmp and
qemu also the gnome shell may have to go as well since i wanted to keep it as a alternative to tde if a user don't like tde they have a second desktop to pick build in am still looking into it but for the right now am not sure also speaking of the f patch kernel am going with liquinox for the next version since it's more compatible with more software then XanMod Kernel which i wanted to add in my distro since i use XanMod Kernel on my pc but some software will not run with XanMod Kernel i had to put liquinox which is more compatible my goal for this os is to be as compatible as possible with a light desktop and software with wine preinstalled and lutris finally the os will be release by the end of year or early 2022 ... read more
