There is no control on the size of fields in xoops.
for example you are well known that currently when a user submit a news and the title is more than 255 characters in english or 127 characters in a 2-byte language like persian, the submit successfully recorded but teh title will be cut-off. No error or warning is available until now.
Xoops should not allow this kind of submissions.

Also we need an advisor on field sizes. for example when it recognise that a field may be limited for my needs it should notify me as the webmaster.
