Comment system of xoops is great, but the lack is when
someone perform a search.
I think that use the forum for store the various
comments would help in this way.

Example:
http://news.hwupgrade.it/13773.html -> after the news
will start the comments loop

http://forum.hwupgrade.it/showthread.php?threadid=841457
-> linked topic in the forum (only title and link to
the news is displayed in the first post).

Also, i've noticed that every comment show take 3 queries
on the database.
10 comments per page == 30 queries

It looks heavy to me.
